Trish K. Morikawa was sworn in as First Circuit District Court Judge for the State of Hawaiʻi by Chief Justice Mark E. Recktenwald on May 3, 2017.
She was previously employed as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, Deputy Attorney General, and as an associate at Gallagher Kane Amai.  She served as a Per Diem Judge of the District Family Court of the First Circuit.  She also worked on affordable housing as well as housing for the disabled and chronically homeless in her former position as the County Housing Coordinator for the City and County of Honolulu.

In the community, Trish served as a volunteer Commissioner for the Department of Hawaiian Homelands, Steering Committee member for the Alignment Hawaii Initiative, a member of the Daughters of Hawaiʻi, and a Board Member of Partners in Development Foundation since February 5, 2015.

She is a graduate of Kamehameha Schools, the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa William S. Richardson School of Law and was admitted to the Hawaiʻi State Bar in 1995.
